South Bay Signal can design grade crossing warning systems using "3 circuit" crossing logic (DC, AC/DC, or AFO track circuits), motion sensors, or constant warning time systems. Signal control is provided through relay-based or solid state equipment.

Interconnection with highway traffic signal systems can provide simultaneous, advance, and/or "gate down" pre-emption. Additionally, system design can incorporate four quadrant gates and automated horn systems to meet FRA "Quiet Zone" requirements.
